   I like the example... however I need to create a child node under a child node, what do I need to do to get the Create and Reload options avaiable on a child node?

   I know you said that the error should be in UI.xml.
   My section here looks like this:
   
   nodeType alias="corporateCompliance"
   header Córporate Compliance header
   usercontrol /create/simple.ascx usercontrol
   tasks
   create assembly="UmbracoTV.CustomTree" type="corporateComplianceTasks"
   delete assembly="UmbracoTV.CustomTree" type="corporateComplianceTasks"
   tasks
   nodeType
   
   (Removed from the xml lines - otherwise I cannot post this comment)
   And I simply cannot see where the error might be...
   The treeAlias in UmbracoAppTree is: corporateCompliance

   Ok, I found the error. It wasn't in the alias, but in the header:
   Córporate Compliance
   
   Notice the second character. This messed up the whole end of the XML file!
