Video description

This video demonstrates how to use the umbraco Macro concept to quickly wrap a traditional ASP.NET User Control so it can be used with umbraco. You'll learn how everything that's possible in a traditional User Control used in a WebForm work with umbraco, including state and ressources.

I wonder how you manage to get it working without copying the .cs file to your site.
I would have liked some comments on the settings in the create macro dialog regardsless of you are not using them in your example.

Despite that, I think you have done a fine job here.

    Hi Paul,

When you compile a project in .net, you don't need the .cs files on server. Everything you need is in the dll file.

At the end of the video he creates a calandar control in spanish.

As soon as he drags the calandar control from the visual studio tool bar it displays the days of the week in spanish!!

Can any one pls explain how this magic happened?

The calendar he dragged in Visual Studio is not in Spanish. Pay close attention to the names of the days in the calendar that he drags in Visual Studio. It's different to what you see in the browser later on....The calendar he dragged was in whatever language his computer was natively set to. In this case, I'm guessing it's danish. The final calendar that you saw in the browser later on is Spanish because of the language setting change he did in umbraco. Hope that clears up any misunderstanding. :)
